My first kayak outing of 2021 and where else could I find a more relaxing paddle through a beautiful park with all the sights and sounds that nature has to offer?
You got it! On the Amable du Fond River which passes through Samuel de Champlain provincial park. Entry into the park is at no cost during weekdays for this year. Head down to the day use area where you can launch your canoe or kayak or even rent them from the park, the choice is up to you. The small lake is called Moore Lake and it is part of the River, paddle upstream and after a short time, about 30 minutes if you’re taking your time and enjoying the sights and sounds, you will come across rapids.
