Ultra Night Run a success

What an experience! Running at night in the country, dark with overcast skies, pitch black for the exception of my head lamp, shoe lights and arm band light. It was like a different kind of world, very quiet and peaceful. Will I do another Ultra Night Run? Absolutely, will I run at night for the fun of it? You bet!

I ran 5K, this equals to five meals for Food Banks of Canada which is a great charity. There is nothing more motivating during a run than to think about how that run will help people in need. It is great to help people in need and even better to be able to put smiles on their faces and I can hope that I was able to accomplish this.

My run started just after 2200 hrs, I wanted to ensure that it would be really dark and traffic on the country road would be at a minimum. The run was what I would say therapeutic. I absolutely loved doing it and I did not expect that I would be hooked on it. It was a very long day, I worked in the morning, 0200 hrs, that super early but what kept me going was thinking about the excitement of the run.
